As a family member it must be worrying knowing that your loved one may need personal care and don`t know how to speak with them about it. How To Get Started With Personal Care...

What Choice Do I Have For Personal Care?

Personal care is the main part of the care duty our carers can offer, whether it's via hourly care, overnight care or live-in care.

Maybe you or your loved one need support for only a short period of time after an illness or surgery. Cheshunt Care can support you with the right carer to provide the right level of support that is needed for as long as needed.

Some elder people have complex conditions and on this circumstances personal care needs differ and our specialised carers are able to support with various conditions. We can arrange for specialised personal care that offers the right level of extra care and support.

If your loved one is living with dementia, personal care and hygiene can become very difficult. They may find everything difficult to comprehend, forgetting to wash or accepting support with washing or showering. We can arrange a regular personal carer who has a good understanding of dementia and can build a strong trusting relationship with the care recipient. The carer will offer support and encouragement with personal care and stick to the same routines so that your loved one feels relaxed and comfortable in their company.

All our personal carers will offer friendly care and support, comfort and gentle encouragement, respecting the care recipient's  wishes whilst working to support their independence and dignity.
